Record the approved appearance before a packaging order

Give each sample a clear identity

Record the bottle reference, sample date or revision supplied by the project team, decoration description and assembled components. Distinguish an undecorated selection sample from a decorated appearance sample and a complete packaging set. Photograph several views against a consistent background and keep the physical reference when available.

Review the visible details separately

Check colour direction, transparency, gloss, logo location, orientation and readability. Inspect curved edges and the transition between decorated and clear areas. Use the agreed reference under comparable viewing conditions. Note which differences are accepted and which require clarification; do not invent a numerical tolerance that the parties have not agreed.

Check coordination across materials

Compare the bottle with its actual cap, collar, box and insert. Similar colour names on different materials do not define a common final appearance. Record whether the coordination target is a close match, a deliberate contrast or another approved direction, and attach the corresponding sample references.

Separate approval from open conditions

Create distinct entries for approved appearance, pending technical fit and pending commercial terms. Identify who approved which revision and what change would require another sample. Availability, production feasibility, quantities, costs and timing remain subject to the written scope for the selected product.
