Choose decoration from the surface and artwork brief

A decoration discussion becomes useful when the selected bottle, artwork and intended finish are reviewed together. A reference photo expresses an appearance; it does not establish that every process is feasible on every shape. Start with the real surface and the brand's approval criteria.

Identify what is being decorated

Provide the exact bottle reference and mark the decoration area. Separate glass colour, applied colour, surface texture, label and printed logo requirements. Explain whether the cap, collar and box should coordinate visually. A colour direction shown in a catalogue remains subject to confirmation for the selected configuration.

Make the logo request measurable

Send the artwork file, intended width and height, placement and orientation. Point out fine lines, small text, metallic appearance and any areas that must remain clear. State whether screen printing, hot stamping, coating, frosting or a label is the preferred direction; ask for feasibility rather than assuming that the name of a process guarantees the result.

Agree how appearance will be reviewed

Use an agreed colour reference and explain the intended opacity, gloss and viewing conditions. Ask how a physical decorated sample will be identified and approved. An image on a screen is useful for discussing direction but cannot settle every colour or surface difference between glass, plastic, metal and paper.

Quote an explicit scope

List the bottle, decorated area, number of colours or passes to review, components, box scope and estimated quantity. Keep appearance approval separate from availability, MOQ, sample cost and schedule. Confirm those terms for the actual project before treating a visual concept as a production commitment.
